Chadwicks is a leading builders and plumbers merchant within the Republic of Ireland, operating from a network of 18 branches, 11 in the Greater Dublin area and a further 7 in principal trading towns.
Founded in 1909 by William Thomas Chadwick, the first branch was located in Dublin and was the foundation stone for the Grafton Group of today. The Chadwicks brand evolved and developed in subsequent years through a strategy of greenfield openings. In 2005, Grafton Group’s acquisition of the Heiton Group led to the integration of Chadwicks with the Heiton brands to create the largest builders and plumbers merchant group in the Republic of Ireland.
The business distributes the full range of building and related materials to both the residential and commercial building sectors. It’s customer portfolio ranges from large contractors to the general public. The product range available includes building materials, plumbing and heating, timber, steel and other related product categories. The facility to hire small plant and equipment is also available in many of the branches and is promoted using the brand, Sam Hire. The consumer business transacted is principally in the areas of Bathrooms, Stoves, Doors and Flooring.
