Diversity and Inclusion is important to us at Grafton Group. We know that teams made up of colleagues from different backgrounds is not only a fair representation of the communities we serve but also brings diversity of thought and helps us make better business decisions.  As part of our ongoing strategy to improve diversity within the Group, we launched a diversity action team with representatives from each of our businesses coming together to agree on key action points and to set goals to work towards us achieving a totally diverse workforce. We have also started a data capturing exercise to improve insights into our diversity and help us towards achieving these goals.

We are proud to work with Sophie Turner of #YesSheCan who has helped us facilitate workshops with senior management and our Diversity Action Group.

Monitoring the pay between men and women is an important step to ensuring that all colleagues are fairly rewarded for their work and their contribution to our business.  Gender Pay information has been published on the websites of UK businesses that are within the scope of the UK Gender Pay Gap reporting regulations.

We work closely with EmployAbility Ireland, a nationwide service which provides employment support services for people with a health condition, injury, illness or disability. Through EmployAbility, we have matched fantastic colleagues to roles within our business that suit their abilities.
