Working at Woodie’s is an outstanding experience. I began my Woodie’s journey in November 2015 working as a part time Store Colleague while in college. Over the years I have seen Woodie’s continue to grow as a company and invest in their colleague’s development. In 2021 I was offered the opportunity to join the HR Team in the Support Office on an internship that led to the progression of a full-time permanent position. I am looking forward to progressing within the company.

I am delighted to have started a new role within the training team at Leyland SDM. One thing which has really impressed me since starting is the thorough induction process. New recruits are given a full week of training before being deployed in stores. That is very unusual in retail and really stands Leyland SDM apart. I am looking forward to playing my part in taking the training offering to the next level. It’s really fast-paced business and I’m sure my new role will throw up new and exciting challenges.

In my role as Assistant Accountant with MFP, I get to work with many colleagues from various departments. Since I started in 2019, all my colleagues have made me feel very welcome and after a short period of time, I felt very much part of the team. I enjoy learning the different aspects of working in a manufacturing company where we are encouraged and supported in career progression and professional development.

I have been an Operations Coordinator at CPI EuroMix since 2019. It is a friendly working environment where I have felt fully valued and supported and had the opportunity to develop and progress professionally. This has been made possible by the management team allowing me to have an impact on the operating procedures, whilst involving me in a number of projects and service contracts working with International companies. Operations allows me to be involved with so many different areas of the company at once, the opportunities to grow are endless!

I started working at Isero in September 2016. I’ve always been fascinated by the construction industry. Therefore I’m so excited I now work, with passion and fun, as a senior account manager in our Key Accounts team. Isero supports me by providing education, training and learning on the job, ever since the first day I started working. My experienced colleagues are always available for questions and I’ve learned that working at Isero is always about teamwork. To add to that our interesting customers and the excellent products and services we sell, make Isero a great company to work!

I've been with StairBox since 2013, but have been within the timber staircase industry since leaving school. I have held a number of different roles both "hands on" as a bench joiner and office/field based. As Commercial Manager I work closely with the sales team on a daily basis, also supporting our Directors as required. Having been with StairBox for a number of years it has been humbling to see the growth of the company. Each day is very different and we have a great supportive team around us.

I started working at Grafton in November 2020 after university. This role has given me great responsibility, working with several colleagues across all the businesses. I have been grateful to Grafton for helping me through 2 Level 6 CIM courses, allowing me to work within the businesses through the Building Together initiative and getting involved with charity work such as organising and taking part in the Snowdon hike or a charity day.

I enjoy working at Macblair it’s a nice friendly environment and the colleagues are welcoming. They are helping me through my CIMA exams to become a chartered accountant. There has also been numerous opportunities to socialise with the 10k raft race and the 72 hole golf challenge.
