Hundreds of people visited Leyland SDM’s stand as the leading decorating and DIY retailer demonstrated its support for the LGBTQ+ community at Pride in London.
An estimated 30,000 revellers from across 600 organisations streamed past the Leyland SDM tent during the iconic colourful parade.
Cliff Rendell, People Director at Leyland SDM, said many people took part in Leyland SDM’s activities, which included a spin-to-win competition and free face painting.
“Pride in London 2023 was an incredible event and one which we were extremely proud to be a part of,” said Cliff.
“We were positioned right in the heart of the action and hundreds of people stopped to either take advantage of our free face painting or to have a go on our prize wheel. With 33 stores in prominent locations across London, we are fiercely proud of the city and the vast diversity of people that make it what it is. Pride in London is an amazing celebration of that diversity and it’s a privilege to be involved. It’s also an opportunity to show our support for the members of the LGBTQ+ community amongst our 450-strong workforce. Inclusivity is one of our core values that we hold dear every day of the year.”
