Selco has launched its 2026 Community Heroes campaign. Now in its sixth year, the initiative is launching with an increased prize fund of £62,000 and aims to celebrate the work of grassroots organisations and individuals who dedicate their time to improving their local communities, often with limited resources or recognition.

This year, Selco has partnered with tradesperson and TV personality Rob Bent, who will work alongside the Selco team to select eight monthly winners between April and November.

At the end of the year, the monthly winners will go forward to a public vote, where the overall winner will be awarded £15,000, with two runner ups receiving £10,000 and £5,000 respectively.

The Community Heroes fund is open to any community group, club or charity that would benefit from building supplies or funding to improve their local area.

Supporting the campaign, Rob Bent said: “Community projects are the heartbeat of local areas. They bring us together and make a real difference but too often run on passion alone. Grassroots initiatives often lack the support they deserve, so I’m excited to be partnering with Selco to recognise those going above and beyond. I’m proud to support the Community Heroes campaign and can’t wait to see the impact it has across the country.

Running since 2021, Community Heroes has delivered thousands of pounds to good causes, with 2025 seeing £57,500 distributed to local projects.
